B&S Group are excited to deliver Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Marksbury Plain Solar farm project, our scope of works includes the design and installation of 1x Primary switchgear enclosure and 4 x secondary transformer substations. Last week the second instalment of the primary substation was completed smoothly. The sun was shining, and now all five enclosures are in place, ready for connection and testing before being fully handed over to the client.

This innovative renewable energy project, is set to generate up to 15 MW of renewable energy, it will result in home-grown energy for up to 4,700 homes whilst contributing to the local environment with proposals to enhance biodiversity. Once operational this solar farm will have a lifespan of up to forty years and could save an estimated 304,000 tonnes of CO2 from being emitted.
